A fashion photographer’s responsibilities include working with clients to develop creative ideas for photo shoots, styling the models, and directing the overall look of the fashion photoshoot.
It is typically up to the fashion photographer to choose the photo session location, get the appropriate props and locate backgrounds or beautiful vistas, and create the fashion photographs for the magazine or client.
In addition to their creativity and artistry, fashion photographers must be technically proficient in photography, software, and lighting techniques to create high-quality images.
Often, they must also be able to do minor post-production editing on photos. Consequently, a successful fashion photographer must have excellent communication skills, creativity, technical skills, and the ability to solve problems creatively.
